David Tavella
Military Crisis Transition Navigator. U.S. Army veteran. Peer Support Specialist (AZ).
“I've been where a lot of these veterans are. Homeless, struggling with substance use, not knowing where to turn. That lived experience is what drives me to help others find their way back.”
About David
Phoenix native. Married with three kids, plus dogs and even chickens. David has served in multiple deployments and understands the transition from combat to civilian life firsthand. He has also spoken openly about difficult periods including substance use and homelessness, and brings that lived experience into practical, non-judgmental support for other veterans.
David supports veterans through community resource navigation and care coordination, including veteran court support contexts and peer support work. Whether you are local in Arizona or out of state, he can help you navigate next steps and connect with the right services.
