How this system produces and maintains publishable records.
Vet Uplift collects and curates veteran-relevant resources from public sources (government sites, established nonprofits, and providers). The goal is not to index “everything,” but to publish a directory that is practical: clear contact paths, current links, and a transparent signal of how recently a listing was checked.
- We prioritize resources that provide direct services (housing, healthcare, mental health / SUD, employment, education, legal help).
- We keep records scannable: name, summary, location/state coverage, phone, URL, and relevant intent tags.
- We suppress irrelevant or misleading entities via deterministic filters (denylist / category rules) before publishing.
Verification is tracked as append-only history. We do not overwrite trust data. Instead, each verification action is logged and the public status is derived from the current active verification record. This makes the directory auditable and prevents “silent edits” that hide changes.
- Verified: reviewed and appears current at time of verification.
- Unverified: published but not yet reviewed.
- Review needed / Stale: due for re-check based on cadence.
Cadence is modeled explicitly (review interval + due date) so users can understand freshness and admins can prioritize re-verification.
Publishing is designed to fail closed. Records should not appear in the public directory unless required fields and deterministic checks pass. This reduces accidental garbage data and makes the directory more trustworthy for time-sensitive needs.
- Deterministic checks run at write-time to block malformed or irrelevant records.
- Denylist suppression prevents known-bad domains and non-relevant entities from appearing.
- Domain allowlists can restrict which sources may publish automatically vs. requiring manual review.
The questionnaire helps filter resources by need and urgency. It does not determine eligibility; it routes you to a useful shortlist.
Use verification status and review timing as a freshness signal. If a listing is stale, confirm details directly with the provider.
Vet Uplift is a directory. Providers control eligibility, scheduling, and capacity. Always call or visit the official site to confirm.
- No benefits eligibility inference or claims filing.
- No personalization or profiling.
- No sponsored placement, lead routing, or selling user data.
