Eligibility

If you receive disability cash or medical benefits (such as Social Security Disability Insurance, Supplemental Security Income, State Supplement, Medicare and/or Medicaid), you may qualify for disability benefits that allow you to work and still receive benefits. Teens and young adults with disabilities nearing high school graduation can sign up for the Bureau of Rehabilitation Services' (BRS) School-to-Work Transition program to develop the work and personal skills they need to be successful in a job. The goal of the Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) Program is to assist individuals with significant physical and mental disabilities to prepare for, obtain and maintain employment.
